A thread based on observations made by someone's mother, in a household that apparently (in their own words) favours black fighters (which bodes well in terms of object analysis considering we are talking about Pacquiao here, who we all know is a beloved figure in the black community).

I've had a look through the smilie section but couldn't find one that appropriately denotes the utter ******ity of this thread.

As you know I come fr a big boxing family. We love boxing, ppv Saturday has always been a pastime in my family. Being from a black family we support a large contingent of black fighters and a few Latinos. Saturday night I was watching the fight with my mom. She asked isn't that Manny pacquaio fighting? I replied yes. She went on to say he don't look as fast or hit as hard as he use to. She did went on to say maybe it's true. Fighters lose it after getting knocked out referring to the Marquez fight. I pressed her for more details granted she's 51 a casual boxing fan who order marquee name ppv's. She told me that guy was knocking out every one a few years ago. Now he can't knock out anyone. If my mom can notice Manny having trouble getting the finish. I know you all have noticed too. Manny hasn't had a Ko honestly in a long time. His punch output has went down barely and in boxing power is the last to go. I don't get it. Is Manny now shot?

pacquiao just beat the #3 p4p fighter in the world who is in his prime but sure, he's not the same but he's still in good standing in the game to warrant a ppv fight.

of course manny is gonna slip, he's 35 and just got ktfo. add the aging process its only natural. its crazy what he's been able to do considering most lower weight fighters back in the day dont stay this viable late into their mid 30s.

I'm from Fresno California. I put the background of who my family and I where. So you understand. Why a 50 year old black women would be confused about pacmans abilities as of late. Just like in Fresno. Large groups of Mexican families get together and root for Barrera Marquez de la Hoya ect. Black families do the same. Small minded ppl take the race from the story well as someone educated would see that race was painting a picture of her point of view. Of prolly not being the biggest pacmans fan naturally.
