I don't like the idea of GGG moving to 168

Lol, sounds like protectionism to me. If he fights Chavez jr. At 168, he can fight the really top 168 lbers as well. Dude doesn't have a resume to be getting this much leeway. Let him do some thing before u start worrying about him being too small.

Ward isn't font **** either. But at least he has done ****. U looking at me like this thread is about ward and I'm defending him. I'm not. I haven't in quite some time. But he still earned some leeway. Golovkin has earned none.

I don't like him moving to 168, but he's fighting a normally 160 lb Chavez at 168. Then we add in the fact they have sparred before, I think this is GGG's most winnable fight at 168...

But that doesn't mean I feel comfortable in him being in the ring with Froch, Ward, Groves, etc..

This is where Golovkin shows he is a special talent.

I voted no because I don't think he is moving to 168 for good. He say he can make 154 no problem so he clearly is a small middleweight and not a natural 168 pounder. Chavez is the only high ranked fighter brave enough to fight him so he is taking this high profile fight to keep his name up there. Chavez is dangerous but it's a risk he must take because high ranked middleweights want no part of him. I think he can spot Chavez all that weight and still win and then return to 160 and hope a champion will finally fight him. Has he given up his middleweight title?

I don't think so. I think GGG pulls it off agains't Chavez, Jr. I know a lot of my friends and people at work. Who know exactly who GGG is and they like his fighting style. So if he beats Chavez, Jr. It will put him on the map with the Latinos. GGG wants to go down 160 after this fight. Maybe a fight with Martinez can happen on PPV later this year. That's what HBO wants to do with GGG is make him a PPV star. It's a great opportunity starting with Chavez, Jr right here he can't pass on that.

Exactly what I was thinking. I was dumb founded at some of the posts saying how this is an absolute mismatch. This can absolutely back fire on him, and JCC Jr might come in at around the 200s by fight time. That's not out of the realm of possibility. That's truly insane if you think about it.
