I don't like the idea of GGG moving to 168

If GGG puts of a good fight and loses by decision, I don't think his stock will drop much because he can just go back down to middleweight and dominate again. Losing to Chavez Jr. isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be. He is a great fighter whether people want to believe it.

It's not that Cotto is too small, the question is will GGG bring in the money that Arum/Schafer will be offering for Pac/May if Cotto beats Martinez? The answer is absolutely not, therefore Cotto vs GGG will not happen because Cotto will not see it as financially the right move. Especially at his stature, status in PR lists, status in P4P, HOF status, etc, GGG just won't seem attractive. However, if GGG beats Chavez, he should stay and fight Froch-Groves II winner, Ward, Bika, Abraham, etc.

Chavez will weight anywhere from 185-193 lbs fight night while I imagine Golovkin will be about 172 lbs.

He will still beat the piss out of him.

Going from 160 to 168 is a big challenge
They were average to poor fighters though.

Pavlik was the middleweight champion, So was Taylor, AA was undefeated at 160.

I'll give you Miranda. But he was a tough MW at his best.

There is nothing to worry about. Golovkin has power that can even hurt a heavyweight (he spars HWs in training camp). He has also openly said that he is willing to fight ANYBODY from 154-175. He is a phenomenon which is what some don't understand.

So you believe that GGG will weigh in at 168 at the weigh in, and rehydrate only 4lbs? Yeah, okay. He'll be closer to 180 than 170. He probably comes in at 172 at MW, which is common.
