Didn't the Floyd team say that even Broner should have beat Maidana and blamed the loss on Broner

I get it, it's time to promote and hype up Maidana to pretend they didn't cherry pick another relatively easy opponent.

Exactly, Floyd said that Broner should have never lost to a fighter like Maidana, a couple months later Floyd/Maidana is announced Cherry Picking at its finest.

Wrong, Floyd said he warned Broner about fighting Maidana, saying he wasn't ready for a big punching WW, should have waited. he actually said Broner had dominated c and B Minus fighters but hadn't fought a B or an A and that there is a difference, he said Broner didn't listen and found out the hard way.

Ellerbe is seeing that we are just a few weeks from fight night and the venue hasn't sold out and there is really no buzz for this fight.
I think the Guerrero fight is coming back to haunt them. There were plenty of experts that gave Ghost a chance and he got UD in a boring card overall. It was Floyd's first fight on Showtime and they did a documentary in addition to the Fight Camp show to hype it up.
I have yet to see any credible boxing expert give Maidana anything other than a lucky punchers chance. Its clear as day that his style is tailor made for Floyd.
I have been surprised at the almost non existent promotion for this one. No media tour. Maidana hasn't been asked to do any national press. Its just been Floyd by himself in a press conference before the Canelo/Angulo fight. Do they really think Fight Camp is going to get people excited about this one?
