I don't think it was a robbery either.

The vast majority of close fights are considered robberies on here.

Then again, some are considered "dominations" aswell.

      Strange place really.

He lost, but got a favorable nod. Happens sometimes. Wasn't that outrageous.

We know who are truly the better fighters and who may simply have someone's number, the greater fighter may have had a bad day, or even luck sometimes help.
It is changing, slowly but surely, and social media has played a significant role in that, people speaking up for what's right instead of turning their heads other way.

People don't accept robberies any longer and they don't let fighters forget about it.

Same goes for the drug issue, boxing has testing for some of the major bouts and that will only progress as time goes on.

2 judges had it 116-112 for Garcia...pretty egregious errors imo.

Btw, scoring in boxing is subjective, hence the subjective opinions. Not strange at all.

the puerto rican kid was distracted by all the people in the stands shouting in some strange language that he had never heard before.

Scored it 8-4 Herrera and that's because I generously gave Danny the edge in an even round because he was the champ. Herrera schooled him, even the Showtime guys scored it for him when the entire show was made to showcase Danny in his 'homeland'.

This right here is the exact problem with this site. Because the vast majority also think this.

Scoring in Boxing is not subjective. It is objective.

                  Clean affective punching
                  Affective aggression
                  Ring Generalship
                  Defense.

They are the four scoring criteria.

Do you see how the four "objective" criteria are subject to very subjective analysis? Those criteria are so vague that they give little, if any, direction on how to score.

                    Also, it's "effective."
