Because the way I see it that if there really was properly set plaster in your handwraps that you would break the bones in your hand pretty dam fast.

Resto-Collins, Resto's gloves were basically a plaster representation of gloves. Look up that story though, it is terrible but every boxing fan should know it.

Loaded wraps are the worst you are essentially bringing weapons in the ring with you, but the other guy would have no clue until they got hit and even then they would likely say nothing because normally you wouldn't want the other guy to know how badly getting hit hurts.

Totally alters the sport, PED are bad and can make a guy better than they should be but it doesn't alter the sport to the degree of loaded gloves.

Yes I have read that story but that is removing padding from the glove, it allows the fist to make a less cushioned impact. Meaning more damage.

They took the padding out and lined the inside of the glove with plaster strips, so the outside of the glove was very hard.
