Garcia's camp is now walking their mile in Gamboa's shoes!

Getting into a legal battle with your promoter is almost always a losing proposition for the boxer. At best you're inactive for the duration of the proceedings and get some settlement in the end. Even then you risk being blackballed by all the major promoters as a result, although since this cold war garbage has escalated the big guys seem more willing to suck up each other's leavings.

Everything you said is true. But Mikey's family has been in the boxing game for a long time. I think if they're suing it's because they have legit grounds to do so.

            Different fighter, same Bob Arum.

There are also rumors that the Chavez/GGG fight may be in jeopardy because Arum is forcing Chavez to sign a contract extension for the GGG fight and Chavez doesn't want to do that.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pacquiao suing Arum in a few years, when it is revealed that Arum never came clean about how much money Pacquiao was truly generating.
That's true I hear on a los Golpes ESPN radio that JCC Jr. his last fight with Top Rank banner would be GGG, and apparently Arum is trying so hard to keep him, but JCC Jr. apparently is fed up of TR.

No doubt. He just chose a different, better way of challenging Top Rank.

I love boxing, but it's a terrible, terrible sport for the athletes. No union, no pension, poor pay (except for a very rare few). It's all bad.

I like Mikey alot and I am pissed off I likely will not get to see him fight this year.

After reading, I can completely understand why he is suing. Much like Ward though, I think he should've found a way to buy out his deal and then sue so he could continue to fight and earn money.

This sucks for boxing fans. For HBO, 2 of their marquee guys-ward and Mikey-are going to be off TV for the bulk of the year. I would think Herschman needs to try and help get these things resolved.

                      Again with you.
Every time a fight with one of your Cuban brethren doesn't get made you immediately point to ducking.
You kept saying Canelo was ducking Lara, and if you listened to me I kept telling you it was eventually going to be made, but there was a time and place for it.
I tell you the same thing here. Gamboa/Garcia will eventually be made. There's just a time and place for it. Garcia apparently is having issues with Arum.
