Comments Thread For: Leapai: No Decision, I'm Knocking Wladimir Klitschko Out!

World heavyweight title contender Alex Leapai has vowed to "bash" Wladimir Klitschko and emerge as Australia's next boxing champion on April 26.

It was enough to make any NRL rival shudder in fear.

World heavyweight boxing title contender Alex Leapai pledged his allegiance to the Broncos before donning a Brisbane jersey on Tuesday.

Thankfully for the Broncos' foes, former Cowboys scholarship player Leapai was just attending his final hometown promotion ahead of his title fight with Wladimir Klitschko in Oberhausen, Germany on April 26.

I would have expected Leapai to be over in Germany already, acclimatizing to the switch from one hemisphere to the other. It plays havoc with the body clock and sleep patterns. Fighting when your body is telling you it's time to go to sleep is not a good idea!

Who knows, he may get lucky.

Wlad should get him out of there in 3 rounds...

Are we to assume Leapai isn't as tough as Thompson,Pianeta or Mormeck ? To be fair mate I'd say a mid round stoppage 6 or thereabouts,on recent previous showings Wladimir has proved he isn't in any rush.

On a personal note I'd like to see the champ go a good few rounds at least,it's been a while since he was in the ring.personally I'm just hoping he still manages to make three fights this year like he planned last too last year, and did the year before.

At least he does realize the task at hand, now the question would be can he do anything about what he knows he needs to do without getting wrecked in the process.

Talk is cheap... only way this happens is if he decides to go out on his shield and lands a haymaker on Wlads chin. Its possible but then again anything is possible lol
