    AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - Former WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, of Baltimore, poses during a SUPER 8 boxing tournament press conference at the Northern Steamship on April 15 in Auckland, New Zealand. SUPER 8 is a last man standing tournament where the fighters compete for a share of $500,000. The tournament begins on June 4th, 2014 in Auckland. Former champion Samuel Peter, Kali Meehan, Michael Sprott and Martin Rogan are slated to see action in the tournament.

      Good for these guys, they need some paydays and probably don't know what to do with their time outside boxing.

          I absolutely agree!they love the sport and can make a couple of bucks,so why not...and let's be honest-you guys are gonna watch it!

            @ their ages & skill level will b interesting...doubt if it's televised but there & other UK countries...Hassim almost looks svelte...let's hope all the guys make the $$ that was announced they are 2 receive...

              so they need 3 more fighters? why not add oliver McCall, frans botha & holyfield or tua? I know holyfield & tua said they are done but why not ask them if they haven't already. throw maskaev in there if some of the names mentioned say no...Shannon briggs? some of these guys have fought before so it would make things interesting...briggs was 256lbs in his comeback fight. that was the lightest I've seen him in years...

                Rahman looks in better shape as against Povetkin but of course that doesnt change the fact that hes completely shot.
