Golden Boy Promotions' CEO, Richard Schaefer, says Bob Arum, head of promotional rival Top Rank, like created further friction by asking the public to boycott Floyd Mayweather's pay-per-views until the pound-for-pound king agrees to face Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather returns on May 3rd against Marcos Maidana. Both sides have been unable to reach an agreement for the last four years.

Bob arum needs to put a sock in it already. We shall see what the numbers for this fight looks like. The numbers for his fight in china looked like he was being boycotted. And he says pacman is a mega superstar??? 475,000 buys.

Arum is holding the fight up! I was surprised when nobody keyed in on Roaches statement when he said that he felt like Arum wanted the Mayweather fight to be PACs last fight! That right there should tell it! Hopefully PAC don't resign and be smart and go as a free agent!

Funny thing is a lot of people say Floyd doesn't want to deal with Arum.
I think Arum doesn't want the fight just as much.

The last thing he wants is a six month promotion with Floyd telling how much more $$ he has made since leaving top rank and Arum having to talk bout how much Pac makes in comparison to someone like Floyd.
Could be bad for business and trying to sign up and coming young talent vs Golden Boy.

LOL at Shaefer talking goodwill, when his boy Floyd has done nothing but try to smear Pac for the last 5 years. PEDS, still asleep, Pac pelllets, begging dog, tax problems.
It might not be the best move, but Arum is right. The only way Floyd is going to get in the ring with Manny is if this Maidana fight does terrible numbers. Money is the only thing Floyd cares about. No that's wreong because he would make his biggest payday against Manny, but health comes first, and Manny will hit him in the face a few times, and somehow maybe give Floyd a limp.
