I don't think Keith Thurman reaches this level. Interestingly, I recently saw his fight with Diego Chaves from Argentina and think this might be a guy who can be on that level. You can tell from the fight that he has so much raw power and speed, but a lot of untapped potential. If he gets a good trainer and conditioning coach he might be one of the guys you don't see coming.
That's the thing about boxing, the beauty of the free market. Nobody thought there would be anybody after Muhammad Ali. Then there would be nobody after Sugar Ray Leonard. Then there would be nobody after Mike Tyson. Then Oscar De La Hoya.
If Luis Collazo knocks out Amir Khan he'll be a pretty big name as well. He could be on a knockout streak.Comment

hard to see any of these guys being the huge crossover stars that manny and floyd are. they transcended the sport.Comment

In order to be a top star you need to have decent fighters in your division and beat them. Thurman has a good chance at welter, but he has not had that top level win yet to know if he can hang with the elite. Canelo has a good shot at it. He has taken on all comers and beat them (with the exception of Floyd) I can see a mega fight in a couple years with him and GGG.Comment
