This Fight Would definitely happen on showtime. Mayweather will probably dictate all the terms regarding the purses. And Bob Arum will most likely not be involved.

Mayweather has no special right to dictate terms just because he makes more money than Pacquiao. Pacquiao is a huge star too. It would be the career high payday for both men. Without both men agreeing to the terms there will be no fight. Pacquiao would accept any reason offer to fight Mayweather. He won't accept any unfair offer from Floyd. That's why the fight hasn't happened already. Mayweather has yet to put a fair offer on the table. Mayweather doesn't need Pacquiao to make big bucks but Pacquiao doesn't need Mayweather either. He can make close to 20million a fight fighting other guys so he won't starve. I gave up hope for this fight years ago because Mayweather won't fight unless he gets about 80% of the available money and Pacquiao won't ever go for that.

Saying over the phone you are going to give someone 40 mill and actually doing it are two ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS. Mayweather is famous for not doing what he says he will do. That offer was as phony as a 3 dollar bill. If the offer was real it would have come with a legal, binding contract. Even then it would still be a very poor offer since it was estimated there would be at least 200 million to be split between the fighters so that's about 80% for Floyd and 20% for Manny. Multi million dollar fights aren't made in quickie phone calls between the two boxers and anyone with common sense knows that.
