Floyd pretty much tells you. I dont want to take punishment my heath is more important. This is true but boxers dont this say this sh##. Floyd is not fighting anyone who throws multiple punches or a fight were he may get hit a lot. He wants Amir Khan in September. Enough said. SMH

I love how u people take what Floyd says completely out of context whenever it fits your agenda. Some days you say he's full of ****, another day you'll take **** he says literally. What part of 'Floyd thinks Manny may have used steroids' do u people not understand? It has nothing to do with how many punches he throws. It has nothing to do with how scared he is. He was simply talking about not wanting to fight someone that he thinks is cheating and is making excuses for why he didn't want to take drug tests. Its not hard to figure out. You may not care one way or another, but you aren't the one that has to get in the ring.

Hey moron, Pacquiao agreed to all testing. Pacquiao even agreed to any kind of testing immediately after the fight since day one. Do you what happened? It's suddenly Arum that's the problem. Did you ever ask yourself that question? What part of Floyd has 10 other excuses do you people not understand?

He hasn't looked good, WHY? because he hasn't knocked anyone out? Please tell me how many fighters Floyd has knocked out since 2008 (and pls spare me the Ortiz KO). You people have to use your head sometimes. Pacquaio in his last two fights has done exactly what Floyd has been doing since he turned welterweight, the only difference being his defense isn't as sharp but yet you want to crucify him whereas when the other guy does it, you are in awe. What a double standard? You probably believe Floyd will dominate Manny with ease and that might be the case now but too bad Floyd wasn't so sure back then. Let me let you in on a secret, I study boxing to the smallest detail and I can emphatically tell you that the Manny that fought Cotto would have been a nightmare for Floyd. Not sure who will win but whoever emerges would have been through hell and back which was the intrigue that fight carried. Have you ever even sat down to evaluate the strengths of both fighters back then, the only thing you would conceivably give Floyd an edge for is his defense. Manny just about evens him out in every other category or in some cases, exceeds Floyd. Now think about that for a second, when was the last time Floyd has entered the ring with an opponent without having an edge in just about every conceivable attribute. Manny was on par with Floyd back then and Floyd was in awe of how good Manny was that he had to be on steroids. That my friend is the reason why the fight did not happen. All the drug testing, Arum, 50/50 money split etc. were all smokescreens. Now that Manny has shown vulnerability and you can give Floyd the edge in all those attributes, the fight will happen soon. I for one hope it never gets made at this point since the allure of that fight is gone. Floyd is a great fighter, maybe an all time great who I 've followed for a long time and still a fan of Floyd the fighter, not so much the entertainer but he flat out avoided Manny. Spin it however you want but that is the fact.

With all the vulnerability Manny has shown in recent times, of course Floyd would start softening his stance and now want to fight Manny. I just hope that fight never gets made at this point since the allure of that fight is gone. Floyd is a great fighter, maybe an all time great but he flat out ducked Manny when Manny posed a serious threat and you can spin it however you want, it doesn't change the fact that he avoided the man.
            This is true.

Smith on ESPN 98.7 making this ridiculous argument today on Floyd's behalf. I really just think its another excuse. Floyd wouldn't cut out Elerbie or Haymon its a ludicrous request.

Asking to cut out people in your camp/team/Management is ridiculous.
Great point, never thought it hat way. Floyd wants manny to completely leave out a man who made him a global legend
Then floyd should leave out al haymon , ellerbe etc,

Its an easy fight for mayweather but with arum involved, theres a good chance of some tomfoolery to occur.

Floyd's not trying to cut Arum out. Schaefer said that they would be happy to pay Arum money for Mannys services. Floyd just doesn't want to do a co-promotion with Top Rank. Floyd has such a sweet deal with Showtime/GBP can Arum afford to match that offer? So in Floyd's mind dealing with Top Rank is a step backwards.

why does he? everyone that fights pac has to sign to Arum. Pac doesnt have to sign to GBP, he can be his own Boss like Floyd so who can possibly be against something like this?

                      Better yet.

                      1. Can someone tell me the Cons of Pac leaving Arum and becoming his own boss?

                      2. Can someone tell me the Pros of staying with Arum with Pac being who he is?
