Floyd said outright that he cant make 144 pounds. I remember it vividly he said "after a while that weight sticks to you" when explaining the JMM fight.

He followed Oscar's ways of being a diva.
DO you think HBO also moved away from figh night weights in certain situations after the Gatti Dorin (i believe) debacle?

WHile its clear ODH and floyd like to be in control, HBO got sued by Dorin after that beating since the weights showed after rehydration Gatti was something like 20-25 lbs heavier.

For future reference these are big welters

Maidana is definitely not the fighter he was against Devon. He is 160+ now and much more capable with Garcia in the corner.

He didn't really impose his strength on Oscar not Canelo.

The time Mosley had actually shown frustration and threw Floyd into the ropes he did it without much effort.

Cotto was also obviously the much stronger man they fought.

Floyd has underrated strength but he's not that strong.

Really not sure on that one but sounds possible.

Floyd did a "bulking" stage in his years of, that how he transformed his body.

Probably was weighing in a lot, so he stayed away from the unofficial scales so to not arouse su****ion.

The prison stint made him cut back a lot and now he doesn't mind weighing in.

Only when people started saying he's a big welterweight did he unoffically weigh himself for the Ortiz fight. IMO to prove a point.
The critisism for the JMM fight was already there. You kno; fighting a FW, buying 2 extra lbs, JMM looking like the pillsbury doughboy, Floyd having gained weight during his retirement etc.

Floyd would surely have stopped the critisism if he could have stepped on the scales at 150. Thats what I think is the plausible explanation and one that makes sense.

It was Gatti-Gamache. The issues for that fight concerned the weighin itself.

Floyd having gained weight during his retirement? What weight is this?

How would jumping on the scale stop the criticism?

And again what was he reason to not weigh for Hatton? The fight before Marquez.
