I think this all comes down to Jr. wanting a big paycheck guarantee. Arum is not willing to give a big paycheck guarantee without at least an option to make some money back in case this PPV loses money, which can happen as this fight is really only appealing to boxing heads.

What it comes down to is Arum wants some options on this fight. He is not going to get them with GGG, so he has to get at least some guarantee from Jr. Jr wants the cotto/martinez winner and Bob cannot offer that either way.

So the fault lies with Arum and Jr. I have heard lots of rumors that Jr. is very difficult to work with and Arum is as stubborn as they come.

What I don't understand is how can Murray get blocked from coming into the US for having a criminal record, but someone like Stevenson was able to.

I think this fight will get made. I don't know why he would want the winner of Martinez vs Cotto. I don't think he can even make 160 anymore.
