Comments Thread For: MGM Fiasco Increases The Top Rank/Golden Boy Tension

Bob Arum spent nearly as much time talking about Floyd Mayweather’s pending fight with Marcos Maidana as he did talking up his own bout between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley this past week.

More specifically, Arum spent a lot of air space disparaging the MGM Grand Garden Arena for prominently showing ads for Mayweather’s bout at the expense of the Pacquiao fight.

Well Richards comments prove alot. Proves oscar has him in check, indeed. 2 months ago he would have responded with bullets lol. But even when the fallout between the banker and de la hoya happens, I have a feeling it won't resolve 2 much. These promotional companies go out of there way to f with each other. In hindsight if they wanted 2 help each other out here and there. There businesses could be more successful

To be honest, it looks like the mgm is at fault in this entire ordeal. I get where Todd's coming from, then again I can't fault maidana and his team for taking advantage of being at the mgm that same night. IDK, it's just a big cluster**** that'll make things even more difficult..

I smh at all these silly antics by all parties involved

Who can blame the old man, I mean really? The rival is literally selling their fight inappropriately. Just imagine if the tables were turned.

I bet TR and Tecate is going to sue MGM after the PPV numbers roll in and say it could've done better if they had their signs up

Whether the #s are good or not I think they should still sue.

It was a bad move on them by making it public. Saying that they'd do something only if the money didn't look right. But I see MGM using something like "the right to refuse" argument. It's their building, their casino, their arena and their opinion if they did enough or not. Plus a short turnaround for their next ppv could be used as to why those posters were up.

It's gonna get ugly but I'd be pissed if I was in TR my damn self

Exactly, imagine if Arum pulled something like that. I know Arum is a scum but he does keep some stuff professional.
