Maidana certainly has a chance with his power, unorthodox style and relentless pursuit. Honestly though, I just think it'll be another easy Mayweather decision just maybe with a few tough moments.

If Cotto can get in close with Mayweather, you better believe Maidana will be able to do the same and wreck that body and go upstairs against Mayweather. Mayweather will have to adjust many times throughout the fight more than he has with any opponent. Maidana will be his toughest test yet.

People act like he has improved since then with trainer Garcia, but in reality we have no idea.. Chino has fought sotokarass broner, and Lopez, not exactly the best test sample to see if Maidana has improved vs movers/boxers...

I agree he is more skilled then given credit for, but let's not act like he is some great puncher/boxer like cotto, Tito, jcc

Maybe had he fought Pauli, Danny, Devon rematch, we would have a better understanding of his skill level improvement, but based on his recent competition, I think the jury is still out... Floyd is nothing like broner, Lopez, etc
Actually even in the fights he won recently, you see that the opponent can get Maidana in trouble. Soto Karass was doing well and had Maidana in trouble but since Soto Karass is hittable, it gave Maidana the chance to do what he did. It was NOT an easy fight for Maidana.

Floyd can do what Devon did and has more defensive weapons to exploit Maidana.

It's always the same formula but as you even said yourself, there is no hard evidence that shows that Maidana can beat a Devon, Floyd, ..... they hyped up his last opponent (ie. same formula) and hoping that people buy into the hype.
Broner's only win at 147 was a close one against soft punching Paulie Malignaggi who got disposed of quite easily last weekend by Porter.

There's no doubt that this will be a close fight until the end and Maidana is able to change the fight at any moment. This will probably be a fight of the year candidate type of fight along with Chavez Jr. vs Golovkin.
