I think Freddie's waited long enough to consider Rios's positive as enough to expose his concerns. He's basically saying part of the reason I got rid of him was I couldn't trust the guys shakes.

Some on here don't realize what slander is in a legal sense. I come from a family a lawyers.
Ariza absolutely has a case here. Not a very strong one but one strong enough to force a likely settlement.
Roach said things that could impact Ariza's future ability to gain employment. There is the potential for monetary losses.
Roach should have known better after Pacquio sued the Mayweathers for pretty much the same thing.
Where there is smoke there is fire but as of now there is no evidence that Ariza gives his guys anything illegal and certainly no evidence he did so with Pacquiao.
Some other fighter in need of a strength and conditioning coach may see those comments and decide not to hire Ariza. Roach got caught up in the moment and should have guarded his words more carefully.
I can almost guarantee you we see a settlement to this in the next 6-9 months.

I really don't know how much help these conditioning coaches are to the fighters. Maidana was gasping for breath as early as the fifth round in his fight with Broner.
Pacquiao didn't even bother hiring a conditioning trainer last year. He simply went back to his roots and did it on his own. Buboy fed Pacquiao his favorite Filipino dishes. And Pacquiao was in perfect physical condition in the Rios fight.

Ariza's reputation being damaged is ultimately damaging to Pacquiao's reputation purely by association. And the likelihood of Ariza admitting that he gave Pac dodgy stuff (if in fact he did) is way higher if Ariza is already outed as a PED peddler, as he would have much less to lose.
For one thing it makes you think that if Ariza was giving Manny stuff then Freddie didn't know much about it.

Roach seems to talk out of his ass a lot, what happened to this man?

wait...doesn't this damage Pac's reputation?
how does accusing Ariza of being dirty somehow not get back to Pac?

Pacquiao is one of the most generous guys when it come to money and tips, he gives money away and over pays employees.
