Thats incorrect. Boxing was very different back then and run mostly by the mob. Its just silly to compare that era to today. AA fighters are respected and revered the world over. Sugar Ray Leonard is universally loved, as is george foreman and even Mike Tyson is given a lot of love even though he's a convicted sex case.

Ray Leonard actually received quite a bit of hate in his prime. People dogged him for "running" against Duran, and they said he was ducking Hearns even before he had the chance to make the fight happen. He is loved NOW but when the events took place he received as much hate as he did love.

Listing off 10 popular black fighters doesn't nearly make up enough for the generations of great fighters that didn't get their shot.

Tunney wouldn't even spar black fighters let alone fight them

You make it seem as though we live in an era where the coloured belt is still around. Lol you need to relax, and smoke a joint mate.

Muhammad Ali was not consider that in the moment and got plenty of hate while he was actually a fighter..Joe Lewis as well..SRR as well..The reason most of these guy's are consider some of the greatest is cause of what they went threw because of the color of their skin..Now I'm not saying I believe Mayweather or Bradley get treated a certain way cause of their skin..I have notice they get treated differently tho,Bradley cause I believe his style is a hard one to understand..He also does not score KO's which does not lend it self to being very popular..Mayweather cause of his attitude when he was younger(I actually think May has gotten so much better in this department)and him being undefeated really get's to people for some reason..

Oh and if you don't believe racism and bigotry still are very prevalent in this time your bugging.. [/quotLmao

God you're fkin delusional. You really think this is about racism don't you? Lmao

"They're considered the best cause of what they went thru."

People say a lot of things about a lot of fighters. Everyone gets criticised nowadays because more people have an outlet to express themselves.

Everyone needs to calm down. Diaz is just doing his part to sell the fight.

Exactly all boxers get criticized and denied the full credit thy deserve. Don't narrow it down to one race. Every type of fighter has a stereotype because of their race.
