I think Arum is your typical im gonna do whats best for my pockets promoter, however I have some respect for him after this incident. He went off on the corporate suits of the mgm and what happened 24 hrs later? They took away most of the Mayweather vs Maidana promo material from the mgm. Sometimes you have to stand up ans be firm in your convictions. Arum pissed some important bigwigs off but they wont even think about attempting this scheme again.

Win-Win for Arum...all the other casinos are now salivating..they may have smaller venues but they are just as profitable. Don't be surprised to see boxing events outside of the MGM later this year. Actually this may benefit all of boxing, create a competition between casinos like they have with the networks.

People keep on saying this, but it make zero sense to me. It's the weirdest theory. Please explain the connection. Who in the world decides to buy a PPV because an old man's rant that's unrelated to the actual fights? The only people who are are ever going to hear about this is the hardcore fans who keep up with boxing news, and this will matter an iota to them when it comes to buying the PPV.

i think the sanctioning bodies should step up and demand fights or start stripping people of there titles or rankings
