The idiots here on NSB will see that there are just different calibers of fighters. Miguel is just better than Sergio. On June 7th we'll have a new lineal middleweight champ. It's OK to think Martinez is going to win. It's idiotic to act like Cotto's only chance is for Martinez to be shot or injured. Cotto is too good a fighter to be given so little chance by all you experts of nought.

They were also nowhere near as fast, smart, skillful, or experienced as Cotto. Power + speed can be more effective than just brute strength. Martinez is not used to having good speed coming back at him. Cotto will be the best fighter Martinez has ever faced. Cotto has faced and beaten better fighters than Martinez. Martinez best win is still Williams II. Even though I thought he may have won they're first fight, he wasnt dominant. Carlos Quintana was pretty dominant in his first fight with Williams. Actually Sergio lost his last fight to the UK fighter Martin Murray clearly. The only reason he got the decision was because the fight was in Argentina but any rational boxing fan who saw that fight knows that he lost that one.

Yes and Yes the Martinez from 3 years ago.. But please don't forget that Martinez was bed ridden for 1 year and 6 months. That means no training, No running, No sparing and even walking was too painful. That's 1 year and 6 months & that's a very long time IMO and nobody, I mean nobody (Not even Martinez himself) knows how his body is going to react to a vicious Pit-bull attacking him all night..So before all you guys talk you should know you're talking about the Martinez of 3 years ago because nobody knows which Martinez is going to show up..
