As a fellow promoter (although on a much smaller scale) I can certainly see why Bob would be pizzed. Venues can be extremely ignorant sometimes with crapola like that. Can't blame him for being fumed about the deal.

According to Arum, company President Todd duBoef complained to Sturm regarding the issue - and Sturm explained to duBoef that Mayweather-Maidana was struggling to sell tickets, and as a result the MGM did not remove those promotional items during Pacquiao-Bradley fight week.
Struggling to sell tickets. How can it sell. It ain't even competitive. Exhibition matches aren't going to cut it.

Arum is right though. That's not how you do business. Especially with the fighters, and the sponsors, the beer companies. They have obligations. MGM knows that. They've been around long enough to know the do's and don'ts. A lot of money goes into these fights to make them happen. To arrive a rival network event splashed everywhere? Take the business elsewhere Bob.
