Bradley isn't highly skilled, but he does everything at a good level. That includes boxing backwards. If he was bad at it, he wouldn't have lasted 12 against Pacquiao.

I think thats a legit question. He fought dumb in the first round and than you could tell Prov got tired trying to finish him off. Bradley started to move well but everytime Prov caught him it hurted him. Bradley showed alot of heart in that fight but to say that he fought ****** all fight, if not he would have won easy is ******. Prov is a dangerous puncher. I wish they could have a rematch.

The old " i fought his fight for excitement " excuse, the one SRL used when duran kicked his teeth in. Nobody fights ****** in professional prize fighting. Ruslan is a swarmer, you can't sit on the outside and be a traditional jab first fighter with him, he is going to plow through and try to rip you up on the inside. You have to be a really good inside fighter to beat ruslan.

Bradley was FORCED to FIGHT like that because of ruslans style, not because he wanted to prove something to the fans. He doesn't care about fans, he cares about money like everyone else.

I totaly agree, if they fight one more time, Bradley wouldn't fight any different.

I disagree with the TS. I dont remember what happened enough to clearly say if Bradley did or didnt but it is possible and it does happen. Its no different then changing styles for a fight. If I remember correctly, I think Bradley did fight that way more then he had to or was forced to but even if he didnt, others have.

So you tell me that if Floyd fights Cotto again, he cant just stay outside or box more than in the 1st fight? Alot of Cotto fans think Cotto forced Floyd into that. I disagree. Now once Floyd got into trouble, it may have been too late to turn it around but if he didnt start that way 1st, it wouldve never gotten like that.

Trout decided to come out against Lara like a stalker which is not his style. He had that predetermined. The fight didnt start and Lara just forced Trout into doing that. He was going to do that anyways. The same with Canelo-Floyd. He was going to try to outbox Floyd. Floyd's a great fighter who wouldve whooped him anyways but the fact is Floyd didnt force Canelo into that mode. That was Canelo's decision from the jump. Now like Floyd-Cotto, Canelo may have tried to step it up after that and by then he couldnt because Floyd had set the tone but Canelo came out to fight like that.

There have been alot of times where slick boxers came in to fight different and go toe to toe. Spadafora did it in his 1st draw. There have been brawlers who come out in a specific fight to box more without being forced to. It happens often. Rigo is taking alot of heat for his fighting style. Would you be shocked if for the next fight he came out trading with a guy just to make more money and get more fans? That doesnt mean his opponent forced him to

Yeah, good post. This happens in boxing. You don't always choose safest route possible. It's a gameplan and mentality thing.
