According to this article he started Jan 20th...

Former junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs) and his team began a tough training camp in San Diego for the scheduled March 8th showdown against Alfredo "Perro" Angulo (22-3, 18KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will headline a Showtime Pay-Per-View event.

the funny thing is this gossip magazine brought that article about 4 weeks ago and nobody took that seriously in mexico, not even low profile newspapers, but then 4 weeks later the scene finds out and they are blaming on people already like they know sçhiet...
one thing is for sure canelo has made an statement against televisa and even golden boy, ¨dont fuçk with me, or ill fuçk you up¨, when you do that to televisa you can do it to anybody....

Canelo didn't deny he was sparring at the time though. He just said he used different people.
