I always felt like Pavlik didn't get enough credit for his performance against Martinez, he did very well in the middle rounds but Martinez simply dug deep and fought through the fatigue.

I agree. That was a 4-4 fight after 8, with the KD for Pavlik. Sergio had to dig deep to change the momentum and take full control after opening Pavlik up.

Some people hated Pavlik no matter what he did and just called him a brawling redneck etc. In hindsight the only 2 guys he ever lost to were Martinez who became a huge star and Hopkins who everyone thought was an "old man" (fast forward around 6 years and Hopkins is still a champion). Now we truly know what a huge waste it was for him to throw away his talent on booze.

The P Williams thing is a perfect example of... Why after riding motorcycles from single digit ages through my early 20s I sold my bike. Half the guys I used to ride with are dead or can't walk.

This was one of the most anticipated fights in Boxing at the time.

I've never seen Martinez have to dig that deep either, usually when a fighter is that fatigue they wait until the last 30 seconds to throw but Martinez fought through it to his credit. I would have liked to see a rematch at a more favorable weight for Pavlik 161-162.

Trust, I've seen and heard it all going to D.R, I'll never understand why people ride those things

I will always know why people do it. I doubt I will ever feel anything as cool ever again as cutting through LA traffic doing 100 mph in the middle of the night wiggling my tongue around inside my helmet like some demonlord on the edge of death

Now I ride a bicycle like a **** with nice legs
