  • Comments Thread For: Canelo Says July Return Will Not Land on Televisa

Former WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) has announced that his next return, on July 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will be carried by Mexican TV network Televisa.

Canelo and his team members are not discussing the details, but there appears to be some issues between the popular Mexican fighter and the network and he decided that he won't bring his next fight to them. Whether or not his upcoming return will head to rival network, TV Azteca, remains to be seen.

          Haha yeah, no kidding.

Sounds like Canelo is calling all the shots. Maybe Televisa made fun of his hair earlier in his career and this is his revenge!

As an American fan, who cares? Make this fight happen!

Good business move. Better not let his core fanbase see the ass whopping Lara is about to give him.
