What happens if Lara gets a cut or some other injury against Ishe and can't heal in time for July?

But when he lost to Floyd, instead of Floyd being allowed to keep BOTH belts, or allowing for Canelo to KEEP the regular belt, they give it to Lara after he beat Trout. Does that make any sense? Cause if it does not, that is exactly the point.

That's REALLY why Canelo has no interest in Lara's belt. Because really, how are they going to take his belt away and then give it to Lara? When Lara didn't earn it by beating Canelo? It's kind of insulting to Canelo.
It took me a while, but yeah, that does make sense. What doesn't make sense to me is why a guy who is supposedly the best in the world at 154 needs a catchweight of 152 to defend his title against another superwelterweight.

Why are they wasting time, Canelo should go to 160 if he can no longer make weight at 154 to win a belt there

Because of the difference in weight and the difference in weight come fight night.

Without the catchweight, Canelo would have most likely came into the ring at 170+ lbs or very close to it. Therefore having basically a 20 lbs advantage over Floyd, instead of the 15 lbs advantage. You could argue that, if Floyd can't deal with a 20 lbs advantage, than he shouldn't fight at 154 lbs. And that is fair to argue.

Well then he has no business in the ring at JMW because most fighters rehydrate 10-15 pounds fight night and thats not including the big guys angulo, trout

I don't think ginger is ducking anyone, his handlers are, as a matter of fact he is young enough to think he can beat everyone around his weight... I think money wise his management has done a great job by the same token they had done a poor job to prepare him for the elites in his weight class.

How would we know this if he's only fought 2. Trout and Mayweather. One he beat, the other is one of the best boxers of all time.

He's about to fight another so called elite of his division, if Lara accepts the fight. I'd say we wait to see how this fight turns out before we say if he can't handle the elites.

He didn't beat nothing, the open score did, now days that is the way you rigged a fight, weight drain, hydration clause for one fighter and not the other, small or big rings, slow or fast mats whatever benefits the in-house fighter.
