As a boxing fan I hope it sells decently. It is not a bad match up because of what has happened before the few fights they had to this point.

On the flip side if it doesn't sell the promoters will see that they have to give fights that the public wants to see and will pay for

I literally don't care about anything, other than to watch Pacquiao and Bradley in the ring, have the bell ring, and see that 'round 1' logo graphic across my TV screen.

Seriously, its the truth people care so much about the finances of boxers like they're getting a piece of the pie. I'm far from a "Pac Turd" and I couldn't care less about how many buys a PPV does. Actually if anything I want some PPV's to tank so that we see less of them and better quality ones in the future. The more buys PPV's continue to do the more fights us fans have to pay for. That being said I'm still not going to boycott the fights. But it's true some people worry more about how much a fighter makes than they care about the fights he makes

You seem to get it Hanz. WHen they talk about money-ie manny deserves more than $40 mil, no ppv is an insult-to defend something manny has done than its ok.

The Pacquiao fever, which was long-declining, really ended when Marquez KOed him. The Rios fight was a non-event half the world away, so in this bout Pacquiao is going to have to grab the general public's attention again if they want to get back to the PPV numbers of 2009-2010

Pacquiao doesn't have enough haters that want to see him lose. Then TR spends very little in promoting Pacquiao fights, not to mention the usual forgettable undercards. In the end everyone makes a profit, everyone wins.

In comparison Floyd fights are always expensive to produce. Even HBO knows what's happening, which is why they let him go. SHO spends way more than they make. They're probably not making any. GBP rift was exposed recently because of financial loses. In the end, only the Greedy Team makes a profit.

This type of NSB Floyd hating delusion is just getting pitiful.

So the less promotion done, less tickets sold, less people, less opposition fans and the worse the undercard is, actually makes it better and makes everyone more money, while Floyd/Canelo just ruined Showtime, lost everyone money, ruined GBP and made boxing worse by breaking records.....

It is pretty hilarious actually. The amount of guys here that have madly argued against Floyd, and for Pac, talking about various numbers, PPVs, money etc etc etc, and now desperately claiming none of that matters and it's only the fight that counts is incredibly amusing in its hypocrisy.

The fight is all that matters in the end, but most people here have certainly not been of that opinion and it would seem that that opinion only jumps back out when a fight like this looks to be doing poorly. The great double standards of the never ending Floyd/Pac debate.
