Can we Ban or Suspend Posters For Calling Fighters "Bums" ?

And? its over the span of 5+ years about 14 posts per day, really not that much but so what if I down some fighters? If they suck at their job they suck at their job and should go do something they can be better at.

Anyone who calls a fighter who has made it to the top 2-3% of their profession "a bum", shows how little they know. The person who does that is calling themselves a bum because I doubt they are listed in the top 2-3% in the world of their own profession.

Yeah it is pretty annoying hearing these e-warriors call professional fighters "bums," "cowards" and "cans." However, it's boxing lingo and terms that are deeply rooted into boxing's history. So, although the terms are thrown around too loosely nowadays by just about anybody, it's would be extreme to ban posters for such words IMO.

I would rather people be able to express their views as honestly as possible, offensive or otherwise. Putting everything on the table out in the open and actually talking it through is much better than repressing things because that will never solve anything.

It is a shame most people can't handle that or would even be honest with their views if there was no repercussions.

I see this crap way too much on this site. Kovalev isn't a bum, Stevenson isn't a bum. Froch, Abregu, Garcia, Provodnikov, Pacquiao etc etc are not "BUMS"

It really drags down the quality of posting in here. I've seen other sites hand out suspensions in bannings for that type of nonsense.

it's pretty pathetic really. Some kid sitting behind a keyboard calling a world champion a bum. I think they should be given a short ban. You even see guys calling Wlad, Haye, GGG, Quillin, Lara, pacquiao, bradley, frigging Rigo 'a bum' it's seriously full

The site is supposed to be about discussion but you can't have a discussion when you start a thread with say...

"Who do you think will win Martinez or Cotto?"

and the first response is...

'Martinez will ktfo that bum Cotto. Why? because Cotto's a m*ther****ing Bum that's why.'
