He got ktfo by Prescott and dropped numerous times prior. His defence was the same if not worse in fact, but he faced lesser guys. He has always taken shots flush.
His downfall is due to his own mistakes. For example trying to KO Garcia.
Peterson was on PED's.
Maidana got him with a good shot and he was hurt, but still came on strong after considering.
Regardless, he took a lot of punishment against Maidana, Peterson, Danny Garcia, it's insane to think Hunter could have improved him. The punch Julio Diaz landed looked like it didn't have punch power behind it and yet Khan dropped like GTA physics.

I suppose the beatings he took under Freddie Roach, regardless of whether he won or lost, has nothing to do with his downfall at this point? Lets stop playing pretend.
I guess to u the only beast is Mayweather or something. U guys bash top tier fighters like as if they're bums. Smh
Hunter has him fighting the right gameplan, Khan has to flurry and move or he'll get caught and dropped. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work but there's no choice for him at this stage. He can't fight like he fought under Roach, he was getting tagged way too much.
Khan had the best part of his career with Roach and i personally don't think that he will get to that level.again.
Also Ariza helped stabilize khan massively, putting more weight in his legs and giving him a stronger base.
Roach's greatest skill is considered to be his match making abilities. A lot of Khan's success is down to Roach guiding him and picking the right fights and working round his deficencies. He picked the right fights and gave him gameplans to win. I don't think Roach would have allowed a Collazo fight and think it is highly likely he is making these comments against Hunter now because he knows Khan has bitten off more than he can chew.
When Khan was under Roach he always fought short little guys which suited his style but now he will be fighting guys his own size I just don't see things working out so well. The reason we won't see Khan at the same sort of level again is because he won't be fighting the same level of opposition.

I don't think Roach picks any fighters opponents, promoters have matchmakers who do that. Roach just talks a lot.
Anyway, putting him in with Maidana and Garcia would not have been smartest moves.
