I have to sort of make an apology. I am not anti Irish, far from it. I learned from Irish nuns, got some great Irish friends. I asked my buddy Jerry why there were no great ruins of Roman nature and such in Ireland. He said "We burned the s=it down after we kicked the M.F.s out." Forgive me.

It was actually Santa Cruz who informed Frampton's team that he might not be able to fight until September/October time.

Therefore Frampton would like to have another fight in between now and then.

Say three Hail Marys and we'll call it quits.

            Belfast. I'll repeat it: Belfast.

British boxers want the refs. That's it.

Very bad move considering the chances of him being robbed off his title in Framptons hometown will be high.

However financially it does provide benefits for both fighters as it would draw out a decent crowd in Framptons favor.

Leo knows that ,and i dont think he will go to ireland for a fight against a guy who isnt well known in the states...at least if frampton fights in the states he will get more recognition from u.s fans, dont you think?
You're forgetting I know how foreign fighters are treated in the US, it's no better than anywhere else (arguably worse in a lot of states, but it's boxing's problem not one country).

Of course not just only Mexican fight aboard but Mexican do it way more. also more people would flock to carson depot or staples center than belfast.
They'll take this fight to the new Ravenhill Stadium, 18,000 capacity.

McGuigan said it would be significantly more than that.

Truth is the real reason is that they know if they dare to cross the pond, they won't have their domestic referee that will stop the fight as soon as the visitor fighter sneezes, the crooked home judges inside Hearns' or Warren's pocket.

They won't even have the advantage of a soccer crowd going nuts on the visitor.

The real question is, why does the champion has to sacrifice everything, are the fighters from Europe afraid of flying when it comes to fighting outside their home.

Props to Hatton, Khan and many others who have the balls to get KTFO in U.S. soil.
Worst post in the thread, and that takes some doing because there have been some absolute ****head posts.

What Dirk said. Frampton wants Santa Cruz next, home or away. You know McGuigan fought in the US, so he won't be worried about taking Frampton over.

I hope it happens in the USA. It'll be funny to see all his butthurt fans after Frampton knocks him out cold.

I remeber when kahn faced a worn out Barrera in england. Barrera got a really nasty cut via headbutt in the first round. The fight should have been stopped right there but the ref and the commission doctor allowed it to go on until the fight became official, then they stopped it and went to the cards. This is why I am wary of a champ going to Europe to defend a belt.
