  • Fairy tale:

Kovalev (with Duva and HBO) wanted to steal Adonis' horse, and kill Adonis into the process...

Thanks to Haymon and ST, Adonis is safe now and he will live happily ever after.

(Morals: this sport is for slicks; ogres shall be punished.)

again.....i was absolutely shocked that it was a mod thread.

      but whatever.
I didn't single you out. Neither did I put forth racial slurs, and I have no mod power to adress such an issue in NSB.

Anyway the thread was fun to to me (and others).

What is worth noting, is the context in which it was made, the Info available at that time and how posters reacted towards that available Info. As it stood it was, IMO, a clear duck which was also how it was Interpreted by reporters not only on this site.

Now there is new info. What is worth noting is where this Info is coming from. What source is used? What sort of interests may this source have?

Furthermore it seems like this story hasn't ended yet. What will Duva respond? She threatened with a lawsuit, so she must have some evidence to back up that claim.

The coming days should reveal that.

              LMAO !!!!

You wanna question where the "new info" is coming from. Did you question where the "old info" came from?

From the beginning we knew we didnt have ALL the info, since didnt hear from all sides.

It didnt stop you kids from calling it a "clear duck" as you so eloquently put it.

The maturity shown on the issue from ya'll was telling.

              • HBO played their cards wrong....don't blame the deck shuffler or card dealer....that would be ******....HBO had the right cards and got arrogantly ******....they deserve to air rematches and mismatches....they let one half of their biggest fight this year get away because they tried to make up for that Ward-Rodriguez charity fight they sponsored

Who be hiring those clowns?!?....whoever hires them need to clean house....if losing Floyd can't get you on your toes I guess nothing will...proof is in the paperwork!!

Just pathetic, right? These guys have zero shame but he made a thread calling out everyone that backed Stevenson. Just pathetic. They always jump the gun and end up looking silly in the end screaming that duck thus and duck that. SMH.

                  • I love how the Adonis apologists in this thread think they have won some moral victory.

Do you even care that we have missed out on one of boxing's best fights? By your twisted logic, we should all be philosophical and accept Adonis' defection as nothing more than a case of "boxing is a business" and just move on.

                    Unreal. Un-****ing-real.

A lot of people in this thread have embarassed themselves. And BoxingScene themselves look like an amateur outfit with this muddled article.

I don't even know why I get involved in this ****. Bunch of morons migrating over from Floyd/Broner threads to defend one of the most flagrant, annoying ducks in a long time.

                    • ITT: Don't call it a duck, but it's okay that we don't get one of the best, most explosive possible title unification bouts in all of boxing. Let's applaud the fantastic business decision instead

Call it what you want, but Adonis Stevenson had a chance to unify with Kovalev and chose not to.
