Comments Thread For: Brandon Gonzales Signs With Gary Shaw Productions

Gary Shaw Productions has just signed undefeated Super Middleweight contender Brandon "Flawless" Gonzales to a promotional agreement..

Gonzales had a successful 2013, going 3-0 on the year with three decision wins. He feels Shaw can get him the big fights he's been seeking.

"I know Gary can deliver the big fight," said Gonzales (18-0-1, 10KO), whose last ring performance was a win over previously unbeaten Jonathan Nelson last November. "All I want is an opportunity to accomplish my goal of becoming a word champion. I've worked my way up the rankings by winning tough fights and now I'm ranked #3 by the IBF. I feel the urgency to take my career to the next level and that's why I signed with Gary Shaw. Together I know we can do big things." [Click Here To Read More]

Well, he beat Oosthusin (should be stripped by now) so should already be champ.

Ward has most of the other belts. He at least he should be getting paid. Not sure who he'll fight unless Ward moves up since they're Hunter fighters.

He didn't beat Oosthuizen, it was a draw. Gonzales took the lead and then faded down the stretch and Oosthusin took the later rounds and they both stunk out the house.

He deserved the nod against Oosthuizen. It was a close fight but he did more.

Ward has the WBA, Bika, Froch and Abraham hold the other belts.

Yeah I wanted Oosthuizen to win, but he lost that fight and got a gift draw. Since then he's been dropped by his SA promoter (Murray's new promoter) for being unprofessional. http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...opped-promotor

Neither guy deserved to win and neither did enough to win. A fighter has assume some control to win and they both fell short. A draw was appropriate. One fighter did not start early enough and the other could not fight later. Appropriate decision, perfect decision actually.
