Age affects different styles and different people differently.

Look at Hopkins. Just because his physique and his style, he can get away with fighting at ~50. It doesn't mean that everyone can do it.

George Foreman had a completely different style but add his physique and power, it still carried him to about the same age. Naturally it also depends on who your opponents are but just trying to make you understand that it can affect one person more/less than another.

So everyone he's fought recently, INCLUDING Rios, was coming off a brutal loss, NONE were champions or coming off wins at the time he fought them....in reality he is 1-3 in his last 4 fights..
