Marquez might be getting old, but I don't think this is going to be easy for Alvarado. Marquez still got a little bounce in him.

Alvarado said that retiring Marquez would be the best thing he could do for boxing. That might be the ******est thing I have ever heard. Doesn't make sense at all. And with that, Marquez is gonna beat up Alvarado. I think he's tapioca.

Provodnikov blew up in a major way after his fight with TB....every fighter with an ounce of sense knew to put that crazy mother****er on their radars....Mike is fronting, the Siberian pitbull broke him.....I don't expect him to admit that though.....Marquez gonna school him, son him and then stop him.....the 2 wars with Rios and the few before that is showing on Mike....I think Rios took his soul in that first fight

theres a difference between having your game plan ripped apart and throwing it out the window he attempted to box provo but that **** didn't work out with a beast who knows how to cut off the ring with force

Why everyone is so pissed off because he says, he overlooked Provodnikov? I think that's not the case that he "makes excuses", just trying to sell himself after a defeat and say he's a new boxer now. I don't think it's a problem. Provodnikov is a strong brawler with decent but not incredible punching power, he isn't a world feared killer at all. If Bradley wouldn't start to brawl with him, he win much easier. At least i think so...

If you're Alvarado, u and your training camp have to beat idiots to "overlook" Provo after the schalacking he gave Bradley, a full fledged Welterweight. At the very least Rios and Alvarado aren't smart enough to fight the upper echelon of fighters in their division. The ONLY thing Alvarado has going for him is Marquez is 40, and with drug testing in place, he's a smaller, slower, past his prime, 40 year old counter puncher, who isn't the same juiced up guy who fought Pacquiso last.
Okay, if that's true, name a credible opponent whom Provo has beat. He fought with Bradley a tough fight. Out of my opinion (Bradley, made that fight hard for himself principally), that's a fact. But he lost. Provodnikov biggest victory was the Alvarado fight, who is not a credible opponent according to your poinion.
I recognize Provos strengths and I like the guy, but I still think some people just overrate him. He is a limited fighter.

What could he have been possibly looking ahead at? That's the key question here. If he really was looking ahead then he is living a fantasy. His claim to fame is being TKO'd by Brandon Rios. The notoriety didn't grow much (if at all) in the rematch.
