Which Fight Is More Challenging For Hopkins.. Is It Stevenson Or Kovalev?

I think either should handle B-Hop at this point. I think Kovalev might get matadored and pot shotted to death in the world's least watchable fight, so I'll give the nod to Stevenson. Stevenson seems to think he has this well at hand...

Stevenson would chase B-Hop and try to catch him with single big shots, B-Hop knows how to neutralize that type of fighters. Kovalev would throw punches in bunches, wouldn't give him time to rest, much more difficult to deal with.

That's kinda where I'm at...whilst I still think Kovalev -Stevenson is a pick-em, I think BHop knows what to do with Stevenson... for me Stevenson is a Tavoris Cloud 2.0 in the southpaw edition. He does what he does very well and is strong and fast. but isn't intrinsically a new problem to solve for BHop, wheras Kovalev brings something different (at last at a high level) - Stevensons speed and power may be enough to overcome Hopkins at his age, but whilst I've no doubt Hopkins has seen every kinda fighter in his illustrious career, he's not had to deal with anything remotely similar to Kovalev stylistically in recent years.

Yeah, I don't think he has faced this combination of volume and power, delivered with mostly straight punches. Especially that jab-right hand-left hand combo, hard to get away from that.

I think kovalev because he starts fast and bhop starts slow. He also doesn't allow you to hold easily. Stevenson tenses up when he throws so if bhop catches him with a counter it will have more effect.


However , Stevenson is more athletic. I think bhop will try to push Stevenson back like he did against pascal .

I think Hopkins-kovalev will never happen.

Hopkins beats Stevenson then retires.

I favor him to beat both. I havent seen much more than brute power and athleticism out of Kovalev and Adonis. Bhop could definitely lose, but I give him the edge because he has faced fighters like adonis/kov, but they havent faced a fighter like Nard.
