Thurman's a live dog in that one but if Thurman was to move up and win a belt at 154 Canelo would probably duck him like the plague, same thing he's doing with Lara.

I see Canelo winning a clear decision. He's a more versatile fighter IMO and could beat Thurman in many ways. He's also the bigger man so Thurman's power might not even be a factor. Thurman has a clear advantage in movement , but I don't see him good enough as a pure boxer to execute that kind of strategy.

Canelo wins imo and without much trouble. He has been greatly underrated since his loss to Mayweather imo.

There's no real reason to back Thurman in this fight besides belief in his potential. Alvarez has proven himself so much more and I would fully expect him to beat Thurman.

Styles. Thurman can move, box on the backfoot. I'm not sure who wins, but it's a good fight imo. Amazing to think Thurman is the older man.

Pretty sure Canelo is the superior technical boxer and is the bigger man, so it would be a very tough road for Thurman to plow.

I do agree that Thurman has superior legs but he is not a back foot guy at all, he needs to be aggressive to be most effective, plus when thinking of Canelo's weaknesses Thurman making Canelo fight hard for every round is one of his best routes to victory.

He's open though and has shown a questionable chin. Alvarez has fast hands, power, and would take full advantage of those openings.

Canelo would beat the hell out of Thurman

Thurman would beat Canelo up for 12 rounds. Probably wouldn't stop him though, Canelo's naturally 20-25 pounds heavier.
I like Thurman, he's a very entertaining and explosive fighter but he's not hard to tag and he can be hurt. He got buzzed by Chaves and Karass who are both slower than Canelo.
His best bet would be to use his legs and move but i don't think he'll be able to do it for the full 12.

I don't see why this fight can't get made. Lopez vs Canelo got made.

Does that mean Lopez got more balls than Thurman?
