I hope Pascal does not make the mistake of signing with 50 cent. I have seen lots of pics of them two hanging out together LOL

Jean Pascal is definitely the BOSS of Montreal even without a belt. Stevenson is like the Capo and Bute is a Made Man.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. LOL

Hopefully he'll sign with Kathy Duva and she can start becoming a bigger player in the near future, she also has a good thing going with NBCSN Fight Night.

Pascal is in a very strong position WRT getting a good payday as probably the best non-aligned fighter in the division. I'm quite sure ME and HBO will be more than willing to offer him BIG $s as easily the highest profile fighter available to fight Kovalev (hopefully in the fall).

Equally, though, part of the Haymon / SHO strategy seems to be denying or undermining HBOs big fights and they are clearly looking to make BHop or Stevenson the biggest star in the division - would they be willing to offer Pascal big $s to get him onside?

As has been pointed out, it may depend on their available budget - given that they seem to be throwing a lotta $s Stevensons way, how much can they realistically offer Pascal, given that there really isn't a high profile opponent available (assuming the BHop vs Stevenson plan goes ahead)?

It would be very hard for HBO to pay Pascal more than they do Kovalev. Your point about Haymon/showtime undermining HBO is correct.

Remember CBS is backing Showtime and their president is trying to destroy Herschman and HBO because he left shwotime to go there. They have PLENTY of guap for Pascal, especially if they think it will hurt HBO.

This is a big chance for Kovalev or HBO to bag a name like Pascal.

Duva doesn't need to sign Pascal on Main Events roster to make this fight. It can be done as a one time event.

No way he would anyway. They can't support him.

One time deal as a FA or he signs with somebody else and they get it done.

Signing with Haymon pretty much kills it
