Maidana doesn't even have "punchers chance"

Maidana's 81% KO ratio is being touted as many casuals are getting excited thinking Floyd might taste the canvas against this guy. Sure Maidana has KO'd fringe contenders like Josesito Lopez and made Victor Ortiz quit, but he hasn't stopped the top level fighters since coming to America. He landed that "big shot" against Adrien Broner early, a LW that leapfrogged 140 to snatch away a title from light punching safe target Malignaggi. Sure Broner tasted the canvas, but got up and finished the fight on his feet and even came on strong at the end. Though Robert Garcia's training has added a few extra tools to Chino's limited skillset, he is clearly getting the best out of a flawed product. Devon Alexander has shown Chino is not an adaptable fighter with multiple game plans that can overcome tough puzzles. He will simply seek and destroy. With Mayweather he will simply be seeking all night long, as confused as a lost child in a grocery store. He doesn't have that "one punch" KO power several seem to believe he has. His stoppages against Karass & Lopez came from accumulation. He will not accumulate enough damage on Floyd to take him out. He landed flush on Broner and Broner went down. If he lands the hail mary against Floyd, Money will use his significant strength advantage in the clinch to pin chino's arms from throwing any more until he fully recovers. Then he will beat the living hell out of Maidana for the remainder of the fight. The moral of this story is Maidana has literally a 0% chance of victory in this fight. Boxing is the theatre of the unknown, but we all know this is the truth.

I think he has a better chance at drawing him into dogfight and outpointing Floyd with activity. I think he surely possesses the ability to hurt Floyd though.

Another thing, I'm tired of hearing about the Alexander fight. It should be well known by now Maidana has improved and been rejuvenated from the Garcia camp. His manager has went on record more then once saying Maidana wasn't training hard or that interested in boxing anymore by the time the Alexander fight came around.

I doubt Floyd is that much stronger if at all. Especially now that Maidana is going into his second camp with Ariza.

only some fanboys thought Broner was the second coming of Floyd. What gave you that idea? his domination of world beaters like gavin rees?

Maidana has a 1.23% chance of winning. it's been scientifically proven.

          khan stands at 1.12%

changing trainers will only go so far. maidana hasn't faced a fighter that presents the challenges alexander presented until now. his limitations will be made apparent once again. the other guy in your avi would have had a better chance of victory, chino has nothing floyd hasn't seen before.

Only because a piece of the roof or rafters could fall and kill Floyd, rendering him unable to continue. This would result in a Maidana TKO.

Floyd hasn't fought a real pressure fighter since Hatton. People keep saying hes fighting all these big bad killers.. He's fighting good fighters, but he isn't fighting killers. He''s fighting guys who box first. Maidana is a killer. He will be the first one to truly challenge Floyds age. IMO.

He's tenacious, and he is relentless. That's all we can ask for, Floyd is going to get old in that ring one night...may happen May 3rd. Pun intended.
