I don't get why he just won't fight rios. He's more than willing to fight JMM and bradley who are welters but won't fight rios at welter.

Ducking Rios, never expected that from someone like Ruslan.

Rios fight gets his name out there, and if he gets a KO, it will be compared to Pacquiao's performance. Aligeri is a step back.

Why would Ruslan want to fight Rios??? He's as hot as he's ever been and rios is not. Lost 2 in a row and Ruslan just destroyed one of the guys that beat Rios. He also just won that title so I'm sure he wants to defend it. He would have moved up for a big fight with JMM I'm sure if he had to. That's a huge fight. JMM is a legend n to some idiots beat Bradley aswell as knocked Pacquiao out in his last 2 fights. Only thing we would wanna see in Ruslan Rios is if he can knock the punching bag out.

I think so, they (TR) want to get Rios back to winning ways and build this fight for the future, which makes a lot of sense or use Rios for Marquez in the future unless Alvarado beats him, then we'll have Rios v Alvarado 3.

The great tune-up run of 2014 continues, only on premium cable!

It's almost like the promoters have said 'we gave them too much of a good thing last year, we need to go back to the basics'.

What is Hershman thinking? As good as Ruslan has been recently he is not popular enough to get gimme fights. At least Espinoza has the excuse of being in the back pocket of GBP, meanwhile Hershman is just sleepwalking at HBO.

This. Punching Bag Bag has lost 3 of his last 4 fights, and got busted for PED's.
Ruslan wants to defend his title. He's willing to fight at 147 only for Marquez and Bradley.
