    What hypocrisy and double standards?

Adonis Stevenson had a career payday opportunity and a chance to take a legacy fight by attempting to unify titles without having to hire advisors, switch networks or do both of those and then hide behind the network split and THEN talk crap.

He ducked Kovalev plain and simple. Nobody can deny it. I have no idea what Golovkin-Ward has anything to do with this; two COMPLETELY different situations

And even so, I'll go ahead and say Golovlin is ducking ward by moving up to a division he's never fought in and taking the big money fight in his first fight in the new division (the guy #1 Ward wanted) instead of going straight for the lineal champ......... And STILL nothing changes about the undisputed fact that Adonis Stevenson ducked and is ducking Sergey Kovalev

I have no idea what you're getting at

That's why he's fighting right now even though Goosen, Ward and Hunter all wanted a fight in the first quarter of the year.

Did I miss his fight or was it behind closed doors?

His numbers need to be good so they can really get behind him. Maybe invest in better opponents too
GGG does well for ratings but won't fight anyone and is ducking Ward...it is what it is but it's not the threads point. His team (maybe not him) made him look the fool, and his defenders on here didn't help.

Stevenson-Kov is a mess and HBO could've matched the offer to keep stevenson but declined to do so. It's a duck, but it's business and is with every fighter...He has an option to fight fonfara for more and then Hopkins which is a bigger name to have than Kov without a doubt.

HBO isn't willing to take the risks anymore after getting burned by GBP and that's on them and tbh I don't blame em...but it's hurting their matchmaking. Yes Kov isn't a huge name but he's not small....but his options really went to **** when Stevenson went to Sho. He's sort of a duck in water now...he can jump ship though and have quite a few but it's for him and his team to decide.

Please show me one legit offer Team GGG passed on, from anyone decent. I can show you links with half dozen or more MW top tenners repeatedly passing on offers

HBO matching the offer would not keep stevenson, he did not want to sign to fight Kovalev after. All it would be was a pay raise for a ****ty fight

If boxing is a business and stevenson is a business man, they why did he turn down a larger pay day and a unification bout with Kovalev to fight Fonfara instead? It makes no sense. His own manager told him Kovalev was the biggest fight out there for him, but nope, its Fonfara. Bring Hopkins into the convo is simply deflecting since he's not fighting Hopkins next, he's fighting Fonfara.

He was gonna fight Fonfara first either way, if he does fight Hopkins after it'll be more money and a bigger name...I guess it has to see how it plays out for now. It's sort of like Guerrero for Mayweather tbh....it seemed dumb but he made good and fought Canelo for the largest ever payday in boxing. At the moment though it's a mess but it's wait and see I guess. I'm not going to pass judgement before it all plays out. If it's not Hopkins then it's a ****ty move but I think it will be....he has to cash out eventually and Sho won't pay him like that forever.

He said anyone from 154-168...Ward said send him a contract (there were tons of articles on BS about it). He never did. Also his defenders said he had business at 160 but he's fighting and started the Chavez negotiations....that's about all that needs to be said.

Kovalevs team have been trying to get the fight since last August.

Not only before Fonfara, but before Bellew as well.

little known fact, he used inception to implant the idea of suing Goosen repeatedly so he could be sidelined and GGG wouldn't have to fight him.

Would've got away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling kids
