provodnikov is a good competitor although i think HBO and top rank fanboys think way too highly of him. i've heard someone claim that he'll give floyd more trouble than maidana, which is ridiculous to say the least.

IMO, Provodnikov is a lot more versatile than Rios. For whatever that is worth. Provodnikov's pressure has a lot more range to it. Rios is a phone booth fighter.

I would love to see Provodnikov vs. Mathysse, or even more so Maidana.

i can agree here. provo's defense isn't the greatest, he gets hit cleanly way too much, but he can use a different angle in his offense and pries his way in. ruslan is a step above rios in skill level.

can't say the same for rios. he goes in straight lines smiling while eating punches and spamming uppercuts, body punches like he's in fight night champion. someone is bound to crack his chin at 147 eventually.

I love his style but the overhyping is ridiculous. His power is average and he has little boxing skills. He's a slightly upgraded version of Rios, any good boxer will toy with him.
