GGG hasn't even fought at 168 yet, so he doesn't deserve a fight with the best guy in the division. A fight with him in the future is a definite possibility.

Stevenson on the other hand more less guarantees a fight with Kovalev will not happen at all by going to Showtime.

In case you haven't noticed, its tough for him to clean out the division because he can't get fights: Sturm practically paid off the WBA not to enforce a GGG fight, Geale made an excuse about not wanting to interfere with Aussie TV ratings and your cowardly hero Quillin admitted he wants nothing to do with any top fighter. Martinez could have fought GGG but opted to fight Cotto instead.
