Also, Stevenson WOULD be scared fighting Kovalev. Agnew was scared & went into his shell. Kovalev would come in to throw a few, then boom, I can see Stevenson catching Kovalev hard, and I just don't see him (or anyone at 175 for that matter) taking one of those big lefts.
Stevenson would not be scared. He is going to set up his power like he does against every opponent. Agnew came out in a shell and did not not have much power. Kovalev did what he had to do. But there is not any comparison in the way Agnew and AD fight. AD has power in both hands, good movement and a solid defense. I will take AD over Kovalev any day of the week and do not expect a close fight.

I think Kovalev will beat B-Hop only because of age.

Agnew's guard was crap. AD should just wait for Kovalev to come to him and catch him with that big left. AD fights like a real lefty should. Agnew's defense was embarrassing.

Despite the duckage, I still favor Stevenson.

He absolutely would be scared of Kovalev's power, and Stevenson's defence is crap.

He'd beat the breaks off of Stevenson, hence his hiding under the cloak of Haymon's advisement.

It was a real 50-50 fight. Kovalev is a little more gung-ho which might've got him caught but then again he might land something big before Stevenson did.

Alas, we'll never know. Cheers Al.

Your statements are silly. Prove AD's defense is crap.

Hopkins looked like garbage against the southpaw Chad Dawson just a few fights ago. He had some of the same problems that Kovalev had against Agnew but to a much larger scale (Kovalev only had minor issues with the lefty Agnew)

I think Stevenson is the best at Light Heavy but Bernard would lose to Sergey.....Orthodox vs Orthodox and Hopkins isn't fast enough to keep Kovalev from landing at will on him

Everyone looks worse against southpaws.....Hopkins had 2 fights with Dawson and looked like crap in them both.....And you could tell that Dawson being a southpaw was a big reason for it.

Yes , Adonis won the rematch 3 years later and KOed Boone in the 6th.

Here's what happened when Kovalev fought Boone.

Of course , BoxingMath is BS. So what's my point ?...That no matter what you think of the guy...Kovalev is no joke. And his latest victory wasn't some insignificant bum with a padded record...Kovalev is a very capable & dangerous fighter. And right now , he's not making any excuses to avoid Stevenson.

The first Kovelav/Boone fight was a split decision win for Kovalev in which he got dropped by Boone. The Boone vs Adonis 1 Fight was stopped too early.

Only thing Kov. proved was he can hit a stationary target, when he got hit back clean by a guy who has I'd say slightly better than average power old Kov. looked shocked and mentally distracted. Imagine what he does with a guy who can box AND hit him back for 12 rounds. He's still a very hard puncher with decent speed. His balance aint much to talk about neither is his ring generalship.
