Freddie Roach, who trains Manny Pacquiao, feels a potential fight will Floyd Mayweather Jr. will eventually happen because both boxers are running out of opponents. Right now, they fight on separate networks, with Mayweather under an exclusive deal with Showtime and Pacquiao fighting on HBO - although he is not contractually bound to them.
With their options getting smaller, Roach can see the fight coming together in the near future. It won't be in 2014. Pacquiao is fighting WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley in a rematch on April 12th. If he wins, then he will face the winner of Juan Manuel Marquez-Mike Alvarado in the fall.
