" who the **ck is Gamboa?, why should he be getting as much money as Garcia?"

Since you guys believe Bob so easily, this should be a no brainer.

I have no problem accepting that Gamboa (or his reps, really) wanted half of the purse early on. So what? You don't think people enter talks by lowballing themselves, do you? You put out what you want, then wait for the reply. The fact is that Yuri publicly said he'd fight for 500k. "The negotiations being over by then" is speculation. It certainly didn't appear to me that they went on for long.

I'm defending him based on what I'm seeing. Those negotiations didn't last long enough for Arum to "get tired of Gamboa's BS." Monetary issues are the main sticking point in any negotiation. This notion that Yuri should've somehow accepted "his place" and lowballed himself is extremely naive.Shit, Yuri doesn't even participate in those negotiations. Whatever the case may have been initially, Gamboa publicly stated he would take 500k. He even said so in an interview on ESPN's "A Los Golpes." You're telling me Team Garcia couldn't have accepted those terms then and there? This is business. The store's always open.

He said that he's willing to take less money 8 days after Bob said F**K Gamboa, what speculations are you talking about?

Holding out for a million after more than a month of negotiations is definitely a long fucking time. The hell are you talking about?

And you're certain about that timeline. Okay....

When I said "then and there," I didn't mean that the fight would be a done deal in that moment. I meant that they could've written up a contract in short order. Must everything be spelled out around here?

Like I said, in the end, this is business. If you have a house for sale and someone offers you half of your asking price, you'd think they're not serious and tell them to take a hike. But if that person calls a week, even a month, later and agrees to pay you your full asking price, would you turn them down because they "weren't serious" from the outset? C'mon.

Every trainer doesn't know everything about every fighter, just cause we know who they are, that doesn't mean that he will, Robert probably can't even tell you who the other 2 champs at 130 are.

Mikey is only top fighter at 130 he has.
so you're saying the only top fighter at 130 basically quit vs his only real opponent (Salido).

                  So who should Garcia fight?

Refer to my post immediately preceding this one. It's not rocket science.

                      Did it to Himself

Mikey was getting $1 Mil while Gamboa wanted $1.5 Mil (seems $1.2 Mil , maybe more, too much.....Guy is living in a fantasy.
Hasn't done a thing to pull that kind of money.

Screwing Arum and Rios on their fight (Arum recently said Who is Gamboa ? F*** Gamboa for the way he acted).

He doesn't have connections that want to see him successful in the promotion business (Hasn't done a thing for anyone except help Billy Dib get battered by Evgeny twice).

Leaving Mayweathers circle for 50 who also tried to get Floyd to leave Haymon while in jail - that doesn't help ! Sc***ed himself and fighters out of top support.
