Hatton was a seasoned vet. Who cares if it was his first fight at WW? Fighting at WW meant less weight cutting for his fat ass too. Which is always good.
I'm not getting into who won or who didn't win with you. The point is, you wanna say some stuff about Collazo but the Hatton and Berto fight dismiss your theory. That's all I'm saying.
Posted from Boxingscene.com App for AndroidThe debate wasn't about whether it was Hatton's first fight at WW or not. Or whether Collazo won. To answer your question, Collazo could have been given that decision.
You tried to claim he has a "sparring partner" mentality and he gets discouraged when things aren't going his way. That fight and the Berto fight clearly proves you're wrong. Now you are changing angles to try and cover your BS.
This is part of what I said, and seems to be what both of you have taken issue with..Yet in the Hatton fight he displayed that kinda mentality until he had success and landed something telling on Hatton which then gave him confidence to come on..Same with Berto,Berto was winning the fight until Collazo was able to change that momentum and then he became confident..Against Mosley he started boxing well, then Mosley completely shut him out,Mosley is a different breed which was why he never got any confidence in that fight..
Comprehension fellas..I'm not saying Collazo is a bad fighter..IMO he's a better boxer then an actual fighter tho..His mentality seems to be tapered until he has success..I personally think it has hurt him in the past..Oh and yes that is a part of a sparring partner mentality..Comment

dude's mentality seems to be one of a sparring partner..If things are working for him,his confidence stays good..Things start turning the other way,and he becomes discourage..

He broke his hand early in the Mosley fight which explains why he didn't perform as well later in the fight.Comment

Hatton did not beat Collazo and outfought him clearly, at all.Comment

So Collazo was able to turn the tide against both Berto and Hatton but that means he gets discouraged easily? LOL...do you even know what you're saying? When a guy is losing and then turns a fight around, that's the EXACT OPPOSITE of getting discouraged
He broke his hand early in the Mosley fight which explains why he didn't perform as well later in the fight.
He must have broke his hand real early in that fight..I gave him at best 2 rds..Mosley completely outclassed Collazo..
I wish I could have seen how he loss to Hernandez..Which imo is not a good look at all..Comment

He's a world class fighter.
He proved that against Hatton and Berto... Both fights he could have won. He ddefinitely beat Berto in my book. with being overlooked and under the radar so long its hard to come down on him for losing to a guy like Freddy Hernandez whos not a bad fighter. And when Collazo lost to Shane, Shane was still Shane. Collazo is a guy who knows the game, comes to the ring with a big bag of tricks. Hes always a difficult out.Comment
