But over here in the UK his promoter and all the promotion surrounding him describes him as a "World Champion". It's laughable.

Name them....

Every single one except the lineal champs. That's what being a paper champ is. If you're not lineal, you're not the champ. Even lineal doesn't work properly now though, because it's become so diluted with so many different rankings that it's all become impossible to say, even through lineage. It's basically been watered down so much that even that has become obsolete.

Really, the only thing one can do to truly show they are the true, world champion today is to become the Undisputed champ. Money, greed, and idiocy prevent that in nearly every case these days, but that's really the last possible way.
