Of course not. Collazo is near the end of his career. This is the last big opportunity he'll have. There's no way he's going to throw this fight when a win could get him a Floyd fight. Even if he doesn't fight Floyd a win gets him other big fights and more money. A loss puts Collazo back on FS1 or ESPN.

Collazo does not come over as a person who would take a dive. Corruption does happen especially where there is money to be made, there are a lot of fixed fights it is normally when an opponent is chosen who has no chance but he won't get any more than his pay cheque.

Financially Khan is a bigger fight for Floyd than Collazo ever would be so it would suit him better that Khan wns. The financial motivation is there to slant things.
It does seem odd that after being played and abused by Mayweather that Khan should so readily sign to fight a dangerous opponent on his undercard. Especially when opting to do nothing to avoid a risk of a loss which has clearly been his policy. This would indicate one of 3 things . A fix or a conditional contract where Khan was told you win the Collazo fight you get Mayweather afterwards or Mayweather said if you don't fight Collazo and step up forget you are never even being considered for a fight.Whichever way Mayweather has fixed things and is calling the shots. I think it is one of the 2 the latter and the Khan fight is way more important to Khan than Mayweather. The motivation for a fix would only be there if there was a huge disparity financially between the money made between Khan and alternative fighters. Floyd has 3 fights left after Maidana and I have no idea on how a Khan/Floyd fight works out financially to Floyd fighting other options.
Personally I think Khan was fixed to fight Collazo to fight on the Mayweather undercard by being told if you don't fight him you don't get the Mayweather fight. There maybe a conditional contract to fight him afterwards should Khan win. Mayweather would have pointed out that Khan's recent run of form is so poor that even with his Asian market the fight would be a hard sell and needs to change that to merit a fight.
After the lacklustre way Canelo fought and the conspiracy theory that fight was a fix you can see how a thread like this one gets written.
Mayweather has shown no real keeness to fight Khan,he has had ample opportunity to make the fight and never taken it so I really don't buy in to the fix idea because if the fight was that important to him to go to the extremes of fixing it it would have happened already.

Khan is a superstar And Collazo is a veteran And he may look to cash himself out with a L.On the other hand an impressive Win could lead him to a mayweather showcase next...a lot of money involved
Just saying
Are you even serious? You should quit watching Boxing ffs.

So deep down inside you people are so sure of a Khan win you wanna start nonsense threads like these to discredit it in advance.

FYI: Khan is WHAT HE IS and that's a Pakistani...

British is a nationality not a bloodline thing, just like being an American. No one says he is English because that would not make sense. So its like saying if a person is Polish-American, cuz he shall always be Polish by blood, but he is an American.
He represents the UK, was born and raised there, hence he is British and yes his background is always gonna be Pakistani. But in the context of boxing he is British.Last edited by Box-Office; 03-31-2014, 05:14 AM.
