Pacquiao fought Hatton because it would be a common opponent he and Floyd both had and Pacquiao was attempting to get a Mayweather fight, so he was lining up as many common fights as he could.... Oscar, Mosley, Hatton. Hatton went 11 rounds with Floyd and got train wrecked in two by Manny. Hence that fight solidified Floyd never climbing in the ring with Manny.

And it supports more of why Marquez wants nothing to do with Provo. Marquez reasoning is so weak, he needs to get back on the PED's for a stronger excuse!

Marquez saying "I already had that title, and no reason to fight for it again". Really? So you have a problem winning a title twice as opposed to once? Who has THAT problem?!!? Lame. You're not fighting Alvarado for a title, you're just fighting Alvarado. Just fight Provo then; make it a non title fight idiot if you don't want that title again. You're more credible fighting Provo who dismantled Alvarado, then fighting Alvarado himself. If that 5th title at Welterweight is so important, then you could have fought Shawn Porter, and don't believe you wanted that dog fight either.

JMM has become a real weasel now that he's being tested for PED's every fight after the fluke Pacquiao fight.
Or he could do what mayweather did in his fight with mosely, and not pay the sanctioning fees!simple right, provo got 40 year old cryquez shook! I dont know why i quoted snake...

Wasn't he only the interim champ at 140? I could be wrong but last time I checked when he stopped Katsidis it wasn't for the full championship.

I might be wrong too but marquez fought katsidis at 135 for a full fledge title, then marquez moved up to 140 and fought fedchenko for an interim belt...

Marquez has been in his share of wars too. Alvarado is 7 years younger than him. He is also 2" taller and has a 2.5" reach advantage. This may not go the way Juan hopes.

Why do you all think Manny gave him rematches? He knows deep down Marquez won!

Marquez has nothing to porve, he wants his 5th world title and he should get it, Now for those who debate the title situation please tell me what title was Manny and hatton fighting for?????? Learn my dear un-knowlegable fans

Just because he has a belt at 140 doesn't mean he can't fight at 147. Especially if he wins and gets e to fight the Bradley/Pac winner (that would be 2 bigger paydays than anything else he'll get at 140)
ruslan himself said he wants to defend at 140 . how bout ruslan straight ducking abhuge pay day vs rios?

Yes and as far as I know OST is completely random. No cut off dates.
The mere fact cut off dates were being asked for tells you they didn't want OST testing.

It’s the same building where Marquez started his career as he fought a total of 12 times during 1995 through 1999.

Much like Marquez, Alvarado is coming off a loss as he was defeated by Ruslan Provodnikov last October in his hometown of Denver, CO. Many fans have voiced that they would’ve wanted Marquez to face Provodnikov instead of Alvarado given the fact that Provodnikov was the victor and holds a world title.

JMM is right, he has a point, and so does Nacho. As a WARquez fan, he could retire tomorrow and I would be satisfied as a fan, he has nothing left to prove to me, and should hang up the gloves before he starts eating unnecessary losses.
